This year (2022) we have added a full day of wine tasting at two outstanding wineries in Tuscany, near Florence. The Euro is translating a more exciting and economical trip to Italy. JANUARY 21 BOLOGNA (1 NIGHT)

Bologna is one of Italys epicenters for the best food and gelato.

  • You will arrive in the morning (January 21) in Bologna and stay one night at the Art Hotel Commercianti, overlooking the Basilica di San Petronio in the heart of Piazza Maggiore and close to the oldest university in the world. 
  • Lunch at Tamburini, the most outstanding gourmet shop in all of Italy.
  • Dessert at La Sorbitteria
  • Afternoon to browse on your own in downtown Bologna
  • A dinner at De Fabio with Giacomo and Marina of La Sorbetteria.

JANUARY 22-23 (2 NIGHTS)- RIMINI (RICCIONNE)

Rimini is Italy’s principal summer resort on the Adriatic Coast. However, we will be there in January! But forget all of that because Rimini is where the best gelato convention in the world is held every year. The SIGEP convention will open your eyes to a world of gelato possibilities.

  • You will attend the SIGEP Gelato convention for 2 plus days, acknowledged as the world’s most important in the artisan gelato sector, a primary European showcase for artisan Italian confectionery and is also strengthening its position in the artisan bakery field.
  • On show, all the very latest in raw materials, basic products, plant, machinery, furnishing and fittings for the artisan gelato, pastry shops, cafe and artisan bakeries.
  • Participate in exclusive Ice Cream University workshops on gelato making.
  • We will be staying at the Abner Hotel in Riccionne, a favorite of our for over 15 years 
  • Sunday evening we will go to Florence by private bus

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Cancellation before August 31, 2021: Full refund plus a $50.00 cancellation fee.
  • Cancellation between September 1 and October 30, 2021: Full refund plus a $100.00 cancellation fee.
  • Cancellation between November 1 and December 31, 2021: Full refund plus a $150.00 cancellation fee.
  • Cancellation between December 31, 2021 and trip departure January 20, 2022: No refund of any trip fees paid
